Hendog: New artwork unveiled at Royal Hampshire Hospital
Hampshire-based street artist Hendog has unveiled his latest creation on the walls of the Northbrook ward at the Royal Hampshire Hospital in Winchester.
The large black-and-white image depicts a teddy bear on crutches, with its right leg in a cast and its head bandaged.
Talking about the piece, which has been donated to Hampshire Hospitals Charity for the benefit of young patients, the elusive artist Hendog said: “It’s an honour to be able to share Lost Bear with the children’s ward.
“I’m hoping it brightens up the space for patients, families and staff. I couldn’t have hoped for a better home for him.”

Morgan Hughes, fundraising assistant at Hampshire Hospitals Charity, said: “We’re absolutely over the moon to have such a piece of artwork donated to us.
“For the eagle-eyed amongst you who have visited our hospitals, you’ll have seen some of his previous work, which popped up to thank NHS staff during the pandemic.
“Hendog is a long-time supporter of the charity, and this donation is another wonderful way that he’s helping to brighten up our wards for our patients.”
Local business Memco Framing has framed the piece to ensure the artwork is protected and adheres to infection control measures.
This ensures that the piece can be enjoyed by all patients for years to come.
Hendog is known for his Banksy-style street art and has previously made headlines across the county as his artwork has appeared on the sides of buildings across Hampshire.
