Former South Milwaukee butcher shop to become boutique store featuring antiques, artwork
From sausage and meats to 2nd Chance Boutique, a prominent corner storefront in South Milwaukee has sold.
Formerly home to South Milwaukee Sausage & Meats which closed in November 2024, the building at 1200 Milwaukee Ave. is now owned by Chris Jensen of C3 Designs in South Milwaukee and his husband, Matt Weisbrod.
Jensen said he’s not moving his jewelry store, C3 Designs, 2110 10th Ave., but instead Weisbrod is going to start his own venture.
“Matt has always wanted to open his own business with the main basis being a retail location with using his creative design talents,” Jensen said.

The business is called 2nd Chance Boutique and will feature upcycled furniture, antiques, collectibles, and artwork. Jensen said the couple plan to host art project classes with an art teacher friend offering “a wine and cheese type of get-together” for the community.
Work is underway inside to make the space suitable for a boutique, including restoring the 1910 tin ceiling in what will be the showroom.
No opening date has been announced.
