Wrexham Dementia Friends’ ‘Tree of Life’ artwork unveiled at local church

A piece of artwork designed by the Wrexham Dementia Friends has been unveiled at a local church.

The colourful and poignant ‘Tree of Life’ was commissioned by St Margaret’s Church, in Garden Village, for display in its community centre.

It was officially unveiled on Wednesday, June 12, by the Mayor of Wrexham Beryl Blackmore.

Members of the Wrexham Dementia Friends art group are either living with dementia or caring for someone who is, and everyone – including volunteers – contributed in some way to the painting.

The group and the church came together to create a design to show how we are all connected to life, and while life is fragile the support of others to those affected by dementia means they can live a fulfilled life.
