Up North beach town’s wooded art trail gets new artwork
LUDINGTON, MI – There are three new things along a wooded art trail in this Northern Michigan beach town.
Ludington’s “cARTier Trail” just got three new pieces of artwork. The new works replace the previous pieces that were included on the trail.
The art trail by the Ludington Area Center for the Arts, or LACA, is installed along the 1-mile loop of the popular Cartier Park Pathway. Each installation is 4-feet by 3-feet and is displayed in a metal frame. The art is replaced annually.

This year’s artwork includes, ‘I Love You Lake Michigan’ by Trinja Henrickson, of Ludington; ‘Song of Carolina’ by Ruth Ananda, of Ludington and Chapel Hill, N.C.; and ‘Positive Energy’ by Todd Reed, of Ludington.
“It’s my hope that ‘cARTier trail’ will continue to add to the uniqueness of our community while also fostering a community where arts and culture bring us together, feed the creative spirit, and fuel community growth,” said Andrew Skinner, executive director of LACA.
