Together Stand artwork completed – Stockport County
A stunning new County-themed mural in the Together Stand, produced by a talented group of young artists, has now been completed.
The exciting project saw the County Community Trust team up with local art organisation GRIT Studios, providing a platform for 11 young people aged between 14-17 to produce the artwork which pays tribute to the Club’s Latin motto, Animo Et Fide – With Courage and Faith.
It’s the second mural that has been produced by GRIT and street artist ‘Oskar with a K’ in partnership with the Club, following the amazing ‘Scarf My Father Wore’ piece located at the junction of Castle Street and Mercian Way.
The mural is the first of a number of exciting new additions coming to the family zone in the Together Stand over the coming weeks, as we look to enhance the matchday experience of families and our junior supporters inside Edgeley Park.
There will soon be a new and improved fanzone experience in place behind the Together Stand – with matchday entertainment, interactive games and player appearances all taking place ahead of kick-off as well as increased F&B offering being introduced over the course of the next few games. As ever, you’ll also be able to meet our resident bear with mascot Vernon coming round to visit before the game with face painting and balloon artists on hand to make your day even more special.
Please note that many of these new features will be introduced in a phrased approach over the coming weeks. We’re very excited to welcome you back to Edgeley Park on Saturday for our first League One match in 14 years.
