Sailor Moon Returns to Its ’90s Anime Artwork for 2025 Calendar Release
2024 is already halfway over, with many already looking to get organized for 2025. Now, the Moon Princess herself is helping to usher in the upcoming new year for Sailor Moon fans.
According to the Sailor Moon Fan Network, an anime-themed mini-calendar for 2025 will be based on the first Sailor Moon anime series from 1992. The mini wall calendar is currently available via the U.S.-based Calendars.com for $8.99, but the retail website offers a 25% discount for orders made in July. Sailor Moon fans will therefore currently pay $6.74 for the retro-inspired calendar until the Christmas in July sale is over in August.

Sailor Moon’s New 2025 Calendar Is a Throwback to the First ’90s Anime Series
The Sailor Moon 2025 calendar features special illustrations of the original anime series. The cover art has Sailor Moon herself, the Inner Sailor Guardians, Sailor Chibi Moon and Tuxedo Mask striking a pose with a galaxy background. The preview images also showcase the illustrations associated with the upcoming months, such as Sailor Mars and Sailor Pluto gracing February 2025, while Sailor Venus and Sailor Jupiter take over in March 2025.
It’s not just the Pretty Sailor Guardians taking over the year 2025. The throwback calendar also features the artwork of the Amazon Trio, the Amazoness Quartet and the villainous Queen Nehelenia. The timing for the new Sailor Moon anime calendar couldn’t be more perfect, as Cartoon Network is currently airing the ’90s anime series on its Toonami Rewind block. Although Sailor Moon did premiere on the original Toonami block in 1998, the current version airing on Cartoon Network today is uncensored with a faithful English dub, headlined by Stephanie Sheh as Usagi Tsukino/the titular Sailor Moon.
