Ragnarok Gets First Official Artwork Reveal & Release Date
The popular Solo Leveling webtoon, viewed over 14.3 billion times, returns with the official release date for its sequel webtoon, Solo Leveling: Ragnarok. The new series has also received an exciting new visual and the first previews for the upcoming release.
Solo Leveling‘s sequel webtoon Solo Leveling: Ragnarok will officially launch on Aug. 1, 2024. Kakaopage, which publishes the series in South Korea, confirmed the news on X (formerly Twitter), adding that fans can sign up for the pre-release on July 31 at 10 p.m. (Korean time). The new Solo Leveling: Ragnarok webtoon visual and the first official previews of the series can be seen below.

Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Reveals First-Look Artwork Spotlighting Sung Jinwoo’s Son, Suho
Kakaopage teases the series, “The legend of leveling up continues 💥 Webtoon 08.01 OPEN! How will Sung Jinwoo’s son, Sung Suho, level up?” Fans expected an imminent announcement following the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok webtoon ISBN listing, filed with the National Library of Korea. The series is illustrated by JIN from REDICE Studio, with Daul credited as the writer. Daul also wrote the web novel version, which is updated every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday in English on Tapas. Ragnarok currently has around half the chapters of its predecessor, with 131 chapters compared to Solo Leveling‘s 270.
Solo Leveling Season 2 and the Live-Action Adaptation Will Follow the New Webtoon
In addition to Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, fans can look forward to the upcoming Solo Leveling live-action series, confirmed to be in development last year. The anime series’ second season isn’t too far away either, with Crunchyroll dropping Solo Leveling Season 2’s stunning trailer at Anime Expo last week. While REDICE has been releasing webtoons covering Solo Leveling: Arise‘s new characters, fans may be particularly interested in Yoo Soohyun’s new webtoon release, marking the first character featured in the original source material to receive a backstory.
