New rice paddy artwork promoting ‘Park and Garden City, Busan’ unveiled

The city of Busan has unveiled a new rice paddy artwork in Daejeo-dong, Gangseo-gu, as part of its ongoing promotion of the ‘Park and Garden City, Busan’ initiative.

The artwork, spanning 8,610 square meters (approximately 2,609 pyeong), showcases the city’s official communication character, Boogi alongside imagery promoting a green, park-filled Busan.

The rice paddy artwork was planted on June 1 in collaboration with young farmers from the Busan 4-H club.

Now fully formed, the design clearly displays the theme “Park and Garden into Blue Busan,” symbolizing the city’s commitment to creating a greener, more livable environment for its residents.

To further promote this initiative, the Busan Agricultural Technology Center plans to capture aerial footage of the rice paddy art using drones. The footage will be shared across various media platforms to showcase the city’s dedication to transforming Busan into a city where green spaces and gardens are accessible to all.

The city also plans to use this unique artwork as part of its broader strategy to highlight Busan’s diverse attractions and promote it as a desirable place to live and visit.
