Boca Raton, FL—The Gordon Company’s collaborative fundraising initiative with Jewelers for Children enters its final phase as internationally recognized airbrush artist Neimar Duarte prepares to complete the remaining jewelry elements of the Princess
Diana–inspired artwork live during Luxury/JCK Las Vegas.
The show takes place May 27 through June 1.
Artist to Create Intricate Jewelry Components in Vegas
The final stages of the composition will focus on several of the piece’s most intricate jewelry components, including the sapphire necklace, ring, and bracelet. Completed in real time within The Gordon Company’s booth in the LUX Lobby, the live process will give attendees an up-close look at the techniques behind the photorealistic artwork and the precision required to render jewelry through airbrush techniques. By leaving the final jewelry elements unfinished until Luxury/JCK, attendees will have the opportunity to witness the evolution of the piece firsthand while engaging directly with the artist throughout the process.
Particular attention will be given to the sapphire elements of the piece, where Duarte builds depth and luminosity through layered transparent blue tones over darker base applications. Rather than relying on specialty pigments, the effect is achieved through contrast, allowing surrounding dark and light relationships to create the illusion of brilliance and dimensionality within the gemstones.
Once completed, the original artwork, valued at more than $10,000, will be auctioned at the Jewelers for Children Facets of Hope gala on May 31, with proceeds supporting children facing catastrophic illness and life-threatening circumstances. JCK attendees are invited to visit The Gordon Company’s booth (LUX 102) in the LUX Lobby throughout the show to follow the artwork’s final progression, meet the artist, and experience the completion of the one-of-a-kind piece in real time.
