HAND TO MOUTH: Inspiring painter to exhibit artwork in prestigious Watford hotel
A renowned artist, author and motivational speaker is holding his annual exhibition at The Grove in Watford.
In July 2009, up-and-coming rugby star Henry Fraser’s life changed forever. A shocking accident while on holiday with his friends left him with a dislocated fourth vertebrae. Despite multiple surgeries and bouts in intensive care in a Portuguese hospital, Henry was left paralysed from the neck down.
Now, Henry uses his mouth to paint and write, showing that even in the face of adversity, talents can still shine.
On September 14 and 15, the artist, author and motivational speaker will return to The Grove to display his astounding artwork. The exhibition, titled Hand to Mouth, will showcase Henry’s beautiful artwork grouped by colour. Visitors will also have the chance to win an overnight stay at The Grove, a signed print, coffee table art book, and a copy of The Little Big Things, a novel written by Henry.
Speaking to MyLocalNews, Henry said: “This year, I’m doing something different for the exhibition. Not necessarily in terms of style, although I think that visitors will see new styles on show, but in how I’m showing my work. The pieces will be arranged by background colour, meaning different subject matters will be grouped together but be much more visually appealing, I hope.
“There will also new paintings that no one will have seen until the show, as well as videos showing how I painted them.”
The exhibition will take place in the Ivory Suite from 10.30am to 6.30pm on the Saturday, and 10.30am to 5.30pm on the Sunday. Entry is free and no registration is required.
