Work of 10 Carlow artists to feature in ‘Icognito Art Sale’ for Jack and Jill charity
10 artists from Carlow have gone into hiding for this year’s “incognito online art sale” in aid of the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation.
The annual event, which requires the identities of the artists to remain top secret, will take place on Wednesday, May 20.
In the decade since the sale first began, a total of €1.4 million has been raised, supporting vital in-home nursing and respite care for Jack and Jill families across the country.
Funds raised this year will be life-changing for the ten Carlow families currently receiving care from the charity.
The service offers up to 100 hours of care a month to families caring for children, up to the age of seven, with severe learning disabilities often associated with complex medical needs, and operates seven days a week, with no means test, no red tape, and no waiting list.

Among the Carlow artists taking part are Rosie Pender from Rathnapish, Tina Kavanagh from Borris, Andrew Kavanagh from Borris, Trudi Doyle from Tullow, and Maggie Deering from Nurney.
The collection will feature almost 2,000 original artworks, each costing €75, and can now be viewed online.
The incognito art sale began 10 years ago after a conversation between Curator, Lucinda Hall and her hairdresser.
“My thanks to our wonderful incognito artists who have come back, year after year, to support this exciting fundraiser for Jack and Jill. It truly means the world to have their continued support, and I’m excited to share this year’s milestone collection,” she said.
