Park System to host ‘In Stillness’ art exhibit
Throughout the run of this exhibit, the “Gallery” will host a series of Artist Talks where each of the artists will discuss their creative process and inspirations. Starting off is Kristin Künc Monday, Oct. 7 from 12-12:30 p.m.
(This story is continued under the ad)
A graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Künc paints in traditional manner know as contemporary realism. Her work has been shown in numerous exhibits and featured in many online publications including Women Painting Women, Artists Daily, Fine Art Connoisseur and Craftsy. She is known for her portraits and exploring the depths of the feminine perspective.
Then the “Gallery” welcomes Jane Manco Thursday, Oct. 24 from 3-3:30 p.m. A classically trained, award-winning artist, Manco is inspired by the old masters of the 19th Century. She has her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Parsons School of Design in New York, as well as a master’s degree in art education. Painting in the realist tradition, Jane uses her still life pieces as a way, “to tell a story through the objects.” Her work can be found in collections throughout the United States and abroad.
Konstantin Zingerman will be at the “Gallery” Thursday, Nov. 7 from 4:30-5 p.m. Using both classical and contemporary sculpting techniques, Zingerman works in clay, cement, bronze and other media. He draws inspiration from nature, history and literature to explore the human character, compassion and memory. A graduate of Florence Academy of Art in Italy, Konstantin also studied and worked under different professional master sculptors. His passion for his work has led him to find ways to make learning to sculpt more accessible for people.
