
Halls Fine Art to hold free valuation days in Shropshire
Halls Fine Art, a Shrewsbury-based auction house, is offering free valuation days for hidden treasures across the region.
The company is inviting people to bring along family heirlooms, antiques, and other items of potential worth to find out how much they are valued at.
Items of interest could include anything from jewellery, silver, paintings, Asian pottery, military items, books, stamp albums, coin collections, and more.
The fine art specialists will be visiting a number of locations including Fishmore Hall in Ludlow.
They will also visit Shrigley Hall Hotel & Spa, Macclesfield on March 20 and September 11 and Arley Arboretum, near Bewdley on March 13, July 17, and November 28.
Other locations include Montgomery Town Hall, where the specialists will be on February 6, April 3, June 5, August 7, October 2, and December 4.
Whitchurch, Oswestry, and Bishops Castle will also host the fine art team on various dates throughout the year.
Last year, a collection of gold coins that was valued during one of these events was sold for £16,000 at auction in November.
The upcoming valuation days are on March 12, July 16, and November 12.
The Granary at Weston Park, Weston-under-Lizard, Shifnal will be hosting free events on March 4, May 6, July 8, September 9, and November 4 from 10am to 1pm.

In addition to these events, the fine art specialists will also be holding four Saturday valuation events at Halls’ headquarters in Shrewsbury.
These will take place on February 8, May 10, August 9, and November 8 from 10am to 3pm.

Those with large collections or antiques are advised to take photographs of the items to show the specialists.
