Both Gregs, Gregory D. Lewis of Springfield, NJ, and Gregory A. Lewis of Fair Haven, NJ, immediately recognized the potential for collaboration upon meeting. Their shared name may have initially sparked the connection, but it is their individual contributions to New Jersey’s rich tapestry of artistic expression that truly shines through.

Gregory D. Lewis, a traditionally trained fine artist and illustrator, brings decades of experience to the collaboration. His journey began at The Art Students League, where he studied under esteemed professors such as Robert Beverly Hale and David A. Leffel. Lewis’s unique style is a testament to his diverse influences, showcasing a mastery of techniques gleaned from his mentors and personal exploration.

On the other hand, Gregory A. Lewis boasts over 25 years of decorative painting experience, honing his craft through formal education at Parsons School of Design in NYC and later refining his skills at The Isabel O’Neil Studio. His transition from decorative art to fine art has been a natural evolution, with his oil-on-canvas pieces reflecting a deep understanding of shadow, light, and architectural elements.

The collaboration between these two talented artists will be at Gallery 211 in Red Bank from April 25 – August 16th, 2024, with an opening reception scheduled for Thursday, April 25th. Two Eleven Broad, located on the main office corridor in charming Red Bank, NJ, is an innovative adaptive reuse of a 62-year-old First Church of Christ Scientist sanctuary. The property was converted into a LEED-certified professional office building and provides a community art gallery space.

Gallery 211 is on the second floor of 211 Broad Street, Red Bank, New Jersey. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am – 7:00pm.
