ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Four artists originally from the Rockford area are recognized for their accomplishments in the world of art, music and theatre.
- Winnie Au, a 1999 Guilford High School graduate, has flourished in the world of photography with showcases worldwide and numerous awards for her unique collection of work.
- Lon Hoegberg, a 1981 Guilford High School graduate, has dedicated over 30 years of love to the Rockford theatre scene. Lon works as a lighting, set and sound designer who now lives in the Belvidere area.
- CoCo Ree Lemery, a 2007 Auburn High School graduate, has worked with clients from Ralph Lauren to Fox Studios to Chicago’s own Adler Planetarium. Lemery developed theatrical and event scenery, launched a furniture collection, and received countless awards and recognition for her vision.
- Peter “Pete” Bond, a 1974 West High School graduate, played for the Metropolitan Opera in New York for 28 years as a 2nd and 3rd trumpet player. Bond also wrote about his revolutionary trumpet technique in “The Singing Trumpet.”
