Upton Country Park: Artists invited to enter exhibition

August 26, 2025 One Min Read

The Gallery Upstairs at Upton Country Park encourages all visual artists to submit new, original works for its 2025 open exhibition.

There is no theme, so artists can express themselves freely in any medium, including painting, drawing, sculpture, handcrafted prints and textile art.

Photography and video are excluded due to space restrictions.

All entries must be submitted online by Thursday, November 20, with a non-returnable entry fee of £10 per piece or £16 for two.

The exhibition will run from Friday, December 5 to Saturday, December 20.

The gallery said: “There is no theme this year – artists are encouraged to express themselves freely in their chosen art forms.

“We look forward to seeing the creativity and range of submissions from local artists.”

The work will be selected by Paul Newman, creative director for Dorset Visual Arts.

The exhibition, held at The Gallery Upstairs in Upton Country Park, will award £600 in prize money to the winners, including a ‘people’s vote’.

The exhibition will be open daily from 10am to 4pm.
