(Titles released prior to mid-1999, including holiday fare, are excluded, although such entries contribute to the calculation of the recap.) The category ranks the best-performing solo women, all-women acts and groups with prominent women’s vocals in that span based on activity on the Billboard 200 and Hot 100.
