StArt Shop & Gallery set to showcase Carlisle artists

February 26, 2025 2 Mins Read

StArt Shop & Gallery, located at 3 West Tower Street, Carlisle, aims to provide a space for the community to experience and purchase unique, handcrafted works.

The shop will feature a selection of art, crafts, and handmade goods, all created by artists and makers from the area.

StArt Shop & Gallery, located at 3 West Tower Street, Carlisle (Image: Supplied) StArt has been operating as an artists’ studio and gallery since April 2023, but the new shop aims to provide a platform for emerging and established artists to reach a broader audience.

The space still includes six working art studio spaces which visitors are welcome to explore.

Seren Shaw, founder of StArt, said: “We are thrilled to create a space where the community can engage with and support local artists.

“Our goal is to make more art spaces in Carlisle and encourage people to buy from local creators.”

In addition to being a retail space, StArt will continue to host regular events and workshops, offering art lovers and collectors a chance to participate in creative experiences.

Regular events include Meditate & Create, hosted by resident artist Amy Baker, Life Drawing, and Word Up! Poetry Open Mic.

A grand opening event is scheduled for Saturday, March 1, at 6.30pm, featuring live music, meet-and-greet opportunities with the resident artists, and exclusive first looks at the new shop and gallery.

The shop will then be open every Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 4pm.
