RIG Arts announce new opportunities for artists in Greenock

January 14, 2026 One Min Read

The project will take place in Inverclyde and focus on public engagement and community development.

In Greenock, the Inverclyde-based arts charity is offering an artist residency and a bursary to explore creative regeneration in the town centre.

The scheme is designed for artists who want to develop their practice while making a meaningful contribution within the Seedhill community.

RIG Arts is especially interested in proposals that celebrate and reflect the ethos of Evolve by honouring creativity, culture, and community.

The selected artists will each undertake a two-week residency of 20 hours per week and are required to present their work at a community arts event in February 2026 titled Evolve; Woven Threads.

Artists can choose to share work in progress, performance, walkabout, installation, puppet/sculpture, or sharing of research.

Projects must engage with the Seedhill community and help strengthen the area’s cultural life.

Bursaries will be delivered across January/February 2026 and will conclude with a public showcase/delivery in late February/early March 2026.

Artist proposals can be submitted via typed/written word or by video or audio recording to Linzi@rigarts.org.
