NFL Announces Cam Kirk to Curate Initiative Highlighting BIPOC Artists’ Football Fandom (Exclusive)
Six BIPOC artists mentored by Kirk will showcase their football fandom through the upcoming NFL season, culminating in an exclusive gallery event at Art Basel
Ahead of the start of a new football season on Thursday, Sept. 5, PEOPLE can exclusively announce that the NFL has selected artist Cam Kirk to curate the Artist Replay program for the 2024 season.
Known for his prominent work with artists like Megan Thee Stallion and Migos, Kirk, 35, will use the NFL program to highlight five BIPOC artists inspired by the world of football.
Each artist will blend their unique vision with football fandom to produce one-of-a-kind pieces, culminating in an exclusive gallery during the NFL’s Art Basel gallery event in December.
The artists selected by Kirk for the 2024 Artist Replay program are contemporary visual artist Cristina Martinez, painter Julian Gaines, illustrator and designer Sophia Yeshi, sculptor Murjoni Meriweather and oil painter Mike Ham.

In an exclusive statement to PEOPLE, Kirk said, “It’s been exciting to partner with the NFL in this special role as curator and mentor to these incredibly talented, hand-selected artists.”
“My journey has always been about making an impact, and I’m glad to be able to pay it forward by sharing what I’ve learned in both the creative and business worlds. It’s important to me that these creators have the spotlight and the chance to rise even higher,” he continued.
For the NFL’s side, vice president of influencer marketing Eddie Capobianco said the league is excited about Kirk’s involvement in the 2024 program. “NFL Artist Replay blends the worlds of art and football, and with Cam’s artistic expertise and guidance, this program will bring to life talented artist interpretations of the sport,” Capobianco shared.
“Being able to feature their pieces in all different mediums at Art Basel is a huge opportunity to authentically connect with football fans and art lovers on a whole new level,” he added.
The NFL’s Artist Replay program was established “to amplify diverse voices,” according to a statement from the league promising that this season will “build on the initiative, bringing even more voices and stories to the forefront.”
