Monsoon launches limited-edition ‘Brit boho’ collection with artist Charlie Taylor

Monsoon continues to burnish its boho credentials and has just launched a limited-edition “Brit boho collection” with artist Charlie Taylor.

We’re told it’s a “celebration of summer, boho craft and modern mini-me dressing” with the rising UK-based artist and print designer, and marks “a vibrant new chapter in the brand’s evolution”.

Taylor is known for her “wanderlust-worthy illustrations and distinctive colour palette” and this collection translates her paintings “into wearable works of art”.

The 10-piece offer includes five womenswear and five kidswear pieces (for ages 3-13) and marries Monsoon’s bohemian silhouettes with three exclusive Charlie Taylor prints.

And for those who recoil from the words “mini-me”, the mini-me element, is “less about exact matching and more about coordinating boho style. Mothers, daughters and siblings, can share the same aesthetic through thoughtfully designed pieces that work beautifully together or stand alone”.

There are sundresses and lightweight separates as well as “summer’s key boho accessory – the square scarf”.

Monsoon creative director Caroline Jackson said: “At its heart, this collaboration is about celebrating boho craftsmanship. By working with an emerging female artist, we bring a fresh, artisanal perspective, honouring heritage techniques while championing the next generation of creative voices.” 

With prices starting from £36, it launched on 19 May and a second drop will arrive on 28 May. It’s available at monsoon.co.uk and select stores (Birmingham, Islington, Stratford Westfield, White City Westfield, Gatwick North + South Terminals, London Luton Airport, Waterloo Station & Islington).
