Karma Artists to build on K-pop success with plans for UK writing camps hosting South Korean talent | Management

October 29, 2025 2 Mins Read

London-based independent music company Karma Artists is set to further engage with the fast-growing Asian music market.

The company, which was launched in 2012 by former Universal Music Group A&R executive Jordan Jay, focuses on developing long-term relationships between writers, producers and global artists.

Karma Artists has talent management, music publishing and consultancy divisions, and continues to cultivate a growing network of commercial and creative relationships across the K-pop sector.

Karma Artists’ stable of writers and producers – including Red Triangle, Cutfather, PhD, James Reynolds, Benji, Jez Ashurst and Jimbo Barry among others – are increasingly focusing on the South Korean and wider Asian market. They have collectively worked with some of the biggest names in K-pop, including Aespa, Exo, NCT, Riize, Shinee, Heart2 Heart, Twice, Fifty Fifty, WayV, Nayeon, Taeyon,Taemin and BTS.

The company is also in discussions with a number of partners including UK trade bodies and various government agencies to host an annual writing camp, which would see South Korean artists, songwriters and producers visit Britain to collaborate with their counterparts on the Karma Artists roster.

We will continue to forge strong links with this exciting and dynamic market

Jordan Jay

Karma Artists has seen a number of existing projects cross over to the US and make a chart impact.

Jordan Jay, founder and CEO of Karma Artists, said: “The explosion of K-pop is unprecedented, and while the UK has struggled to break new pop artists, our focus has been on building relationships in Asia, with several trips there in the past three years or so. This has given our writers and producers an extraordinary opportunity to capitalise on a thriving market. Through our planned writing camps and cultural exchanges, which will take place with the support of UK trade bodies and government trade agencies, we will continue to forge strong links with this exciting and dynamic market.”

Karma Artists has helped deliver major global hits, with numerous tracks from artists including Twice, BTS, Riize, Aespa, Exo, NCT127, Seventeen, Fifty Fifty, Key and Le Sserafim achieving widespread recognition and commercial success.

The company’s strategy has seen it nurture long-term connections in Asia, enabling them to play a role in the K-pop phenomenon.

It continues to develop commercial and creative relationships in China and joined a recent BPI trade mission there. A number of songwriters from the Karma Artists roster have also taken part in writing camps in Seoul, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand and Hong Kong, working with artists such as Moon Tang, A20, SB19, Lola Amour, Olivia Marsh, U-Know, Youngha and Lee Young Ji.

“Asia’s music scene is evolving and expanding rapidly, and our team is at the forefront of that change,” added Jay. “We are excited for the future and are committed to expanding our work with their brightest stars.”
