Albany Museum of Art issues open call for emerging artists
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) – Attention all emerging artists, if you’ve been looking for a big break, you could be in luck!
The Albany Museum of Art is issuing an open call to all emerging and mid-career Georgia artists to submit their work for a chance to be featured in a solo art exhibition at the museum.
Artists from anywhere in the state of Georgia who are 18 years or older are eligible to enter their work. The work will then be viewed by a panel of anonymous jurors and one artist will be selected for the summer 2025 exhibit. Sidney Pettice is a curator of African Arts at AMA. She says this is the first year they are holding an open call like this with younger artists.
“This would give this artist the opportunity to exhibit in an AMA-accredited institution and get their name out there. And also, you know, introduce people to their art practice,” said Pettice.
