Lucknow: To restore and reorganise its collection of artworks, the UP State Lalit Kala Akademi (UPSLKA) on Friday decided to collaborate with Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA).The IGNCA will organise workshop to train the staff of UPSLKA in restoration and perseveration of artworks, said director, UPSLKA Shraddha ShuklaUPSKLA conducts workshops on various streams of art – paintings, sculptures, prints and textile objects – with artists on a regular basis. The artists are paid an honorarium and the artwork created during the workshop goes to the collection of the akademi. These artworks need restoration and preservation. TNN
