Artist Jesse Woolston unveils digital artwork throughout The Link in One&Only One Za’abeel
The artist has created a series of mesmerising simulations for Dubai’s new dining destination The Link, suspended above and throughout Arrazuna, set within the world’s longest cantilever
Multidisciplinary artist Jesse Woolston has revealed a major new large-scale digital artwork for The Link, the futuristic boulevard in the sky that floats 100 metres above street level within new resort One&Only One Za’abeel.
Inspired by the duality of Dubai’s landscape – where sand meets the sky – as reflected by the One Za’abeel landmark structure, the site-specific installation of ever-changing simulations was commissioned specially for the city’s most exciting new culinary destination, which hosts signature restaurants by Michelin-lauded chefs from around the world.
Suspended between floors 24 – 25 of The Link, the artwork titled ‘The Infinite Constant Front’ floats above, and weaves throughout, Arrazuna, an interactive reimagined food hall and market concept with eight open kitchens envisioned by globally-recognised chef Mehmet Gürs. Responding to The Link’s unique architectural structure, Woolston’s artwork invites diners to gaze above and bask in the ambience of this unique dining experience.

Complementing the breathtaking and unobstructed views of Dubai’s skyline that can be observed from The Link, Woolston’s work echoes the rich, warm hues of the city sky as it changes from day to night throughout the seasons. Designed specifically for The Link, The Infinite Constant Front – The Link subtly compliments the interior space with a mesmerising arrangement that considers an ambient speed and velocity. By extracting palettes from Dubai’s skyline at various times of day and seasons, combined with an array of pigments found in the environment, each colour was hand painted into the simulation – creating a colourful and mesmerising dialogue between nature, landscape, and the canvas.
“It was an honour to create a bespoke artwork for The Link at One&Only One Za’abeel. I wanted to spark a conversation between The Link and its breathtaking views of Dubai’s unique landscape and skyline, in hopes of introducing a new dynamic elegance to the flow and shape of the designed interior. I was inspired by the natural colours found in the surrounding environment, extracting pigments and meticulously hand-painting the colours before transforming the design into an engaging simulation,” commented Jesse Woolston, of the inspiration behind the artwork commissioned by One&Only.
Woolston is a multimedia artist and composer who combines imagery and sound to create simulations that express his interest in the notion of phenomena. Working with machine learning technology, he attempts to capture the essence of the natural world in art and tech. Woolston’s work has been exhibited at Art Basel Miami, and Noor Riyadh Festival in Saudi Arabia, alongside public art commissions for Dior, Shanghai Airport and more.
Facilitated by B Corp art agency MTArt, Woolston was commissioned by One&Only to adorn the creative canvas of digital displays in The Link at One&Only One Za’abeel, the first vertical urban resort by the ultra-luxury hospitality brand.
One&Only One Za’abeel brings together exceptional dining, innovative wellness and curated one-off experiences in a spectacular urban stage at the centre of everything. It is the latest resort opening operated by Kerzner International, and sits within the new One Za’abeel building, an architectural icon which boasts dual skyscrapers intersected by the world’s longest cantilever and horizontal bridge.
