French and Chinese artwork showcased in Chengdu exhibition

An art exhibition showcasing the works of 20 French and Chinese artists commenced on Friday in Chengdu, Sichuan province.

The Image and Imagination Sino-French Art Exhibition, held at the Nongyuan Art Exposition Park in Wuhou district, features a variety of art forms, including oil paintings, graffiti, photography, and art installations. The exhibition aims to facilitate cultural and artistic exchanges between China and France.

Sponsored by Chengdu”s foreign affairs office and the Wuhou district government, the exhibition is the second French-themed event of the 2024 Chengdu-Europe Culture Season. It is also an important activity to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, according to the organizers.
