Preston youngsters help design and create artwork for a city care home
Receiving the Best Campaign Award from the Age Friendly Awards 2025, the Youth Ambassadors also hosted a bingo event at the care home as part of their social impact project.

They finished their project on 25 June with an awards ceremony for all contributors.
In the ceremony, a youth ambassador from Foxton, Isla, sang “Imagine” by John Lennon as she described the song to be “very fitting” to the project.
The group of girls also received certificates and pin badges from the Lancashire Association of Boys and Girls Clubs for their hard work and time spent through their volunteering.
Lucy, 14, who worked in the group a part of the project, said: “I have gotten to know people of all ages, backgrounds and life stories.
“Coming from this, I have developed real friendships, and this project will hold a special place in my heart.”
The piece, soon to be installed to Molyneux care home, whilst coloured and decorated by the ten children, was created and drawn local freelance artist, Sarah Hicks.
