Courtyard Community Artwork for Gungahlin Community And Youth Centre Opportunities – ArtsHub Australia

March 16, 2025 One Min Read

Belco Arts is seeking an artist to develop and deliver a participative, community driven public art project that results in a permanent, outdoor artwork which reflects and celebrates Gungahlin’s diverse community. The artwork will be installed in the courtyard of the new Gungahlin Community and Youth Centre.

The Gungahlin Community Centre has been developed using a co-design approach with input from key local stakeholders. It is designed to be a place for community to come together, connect and access a wide range of facilities, activities and supports.

The outdoor courtyard serves as the physical heart of the community centre – linking the Youth Centre and the main community centre. It is a space that welcomes Gungahlin’s diverse community – including First Nations community, young people, multicultural groups, community program participants, children and families and others who are connected to the region.

Expressions of Interest Close Midnight Sunday 6 April 2025

Total Artist fees available $26,060 + Superannuation

Please see commission brief for full fee breakdown: https://www.belcoarts.com.au/community-centre/
