Grace Potter, an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for her dynamic stage presence, powerful voice and genre-blending musical style will be this year’s Saturday night headliner at the 2025 Double Decker Arts Festival.

Visit Oxford revealed the musical lineup and official artwork for the festival that will be held on April 25-26, during a press conference Tuesday at the University of Mississippi Museum.

The 2025 Double Decker Arts Festival, marking its 28th anniversary, brings together art, music, food, and family-friendly activities.

This year’s presenting sponsor is the University Museum, made possible by Ole Miss Athletics.

“They do that to give a little more recognition to a department of the university that might not get as much attention as athletics, which is really special,” said Visit Oxford’s Executive Director Kinney Ferris.

Other key supporters include stage sponsor Nicholas Air, Faulkner-level sponsors Specialty Orthopedic Group and North East SPARC and new sponsor Riverland Roofing.

Mayor Robin Tannehill emphasized the city’s extensive involvement in the event:

“This festival touches every city department—from police and fire to environmental services, who ensure the square is spotless the next morning, and Oxford Utilities, who help set up the stages,” Tannehill said. “And so we are thankful for the partnerships with all of our city departments and for our partnership with the University.”

One of the highlights of the press conference is the unveiling of the official artwork, created this year by Tupelo artist Sarah Buzzell. Selected from 14 submissions, her colorful piece will represent the 2025 Double Decker Arts Festival.

“Art has always been a huge part of my life,” Buzzell said. “Being chosen for this is the biggest honor.”

The artwork will be displayed on promotional materials, T-shirts, posters and banners around the Square.

Along with Potter, the festival will have two days of an eclectic range of music, from an acapella choir to Charlie Crockett to local bluesman Cedric Burnside:

Here is the lineup:

Friday

  • The Band of Heathens
  • Old 60
  • The Great Dying
  • Headliner: Charlie Crockett

Saturday

  • Russ College Acapella Choir
  • Cedric Burnside
  • Seratones
  • Water Liars
  • Cimafunk
  • The Record Company
  • Houndmouth
  • Headliner: Grace Potter

The festival begins Saturday morning with the Double Decker Spring Run, organized by the Oxford-Lafayette Chamber of Commerce. The run, which includes a 10k, 5k, and a kids’ fun run, has become a major fundraiser. Last year’s event saw a record-breaking 2,300 runners representing 39 states.

“Our race continues to grow alongside the festival,” said Chamber President and CEO Pam Swain. “The expanded Friday night programming has encouraged more visitors to stay longer, contributing significantly to our local economy.”

The run also supports local nonprofits, with $1 from each registration going to the YMCA to fund children’s activities and summer camps.
