Jersey donated shirts art project turned into exhibition

October 27, 2024 One Min Read

Artwork featuring hundreds of donated shirts hung up in part of Jersey will be reimagined in a new exhibition later this month.

Finnish artist Kaarina Kaikkonen’s public sculpture over Charing Cross, in St Helier, has been redesigned to fit indoors at ArtHouse Jersey at Capital House.

Entitled Dancing Together: A Ballad, the artwork intends to bring together the different stories of people and their shirts, reflecting islanders’ lives.

The artwork will be unveiled at a launch celebration on 31 October, with the free exhibition running until 1 December.
