Bonchurch Village’s new pop-up shop featuring local artwork
Set up as part of the Isle of Wight Artists Open Studios 2024, the pop-up shop will display an exciting range of works.
The attraction will be open for the next two weekends, August 29 to September 1 and September 5 to 8.
The shop exhibits Lowday’s superior leatherwork, including bags, belts and clocks, as well as Cox’s distinctive ceramics and silk screen prints.
Other local talent includes Tatty Devine jewellery, Julia Gittins’ Isle of Wight landscape prints and Damien Whitmore’s Bonchurch poetry, among other diverse items.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony featured TV writer and poet, Damien Whitmore, and Tatty Devine’s Rosie Wolfenden who officially inaugurated the pop-up shop.
Bonchurch Village, historically linked to reputed writers and artists including Charles Dickens and Keats, continues to attract contemporary creatives.
The pop-up shop will operate from 11am to 4pm from Thursday to Sunday over both weekends.
