Will Reeve comments on his cameo in James Gunn’s Superman movie.
Putting the spotlight on Superman itself, Gunn touched upon how Christopher Reeve’s Metropolis Marvel influenced his own in 2023, avowing at the time, “How do you make it look believable? How do you take this outrageous concept of a guy who flies around and turn him into something real? I think that, you know, what we’re doing is different. It’s its own thing. But I’m definitely influenced by what [director Richard] Donner did with Superman, and what Christopher Reeve did with Superman, and Margot Kidder, who’s fantastic in the movie. She’s really the heart of it in a lot of ways.”

Superman Will Feel Different From James Gunn’s Marvel Movies
Besides these bits of news, Gunn promised that Superman won’t feel like a Guardians of the Galaxy movie, remarking, “I learned so much from making [the Guardians of the Galaxy] movies. But it’s not like Superman is going to have exactly the same vibe as a Guardians movie. It’s actually quite different.”
Tying into this, Gunn also promised that Superman won’t be a comedy, asserting that it’s easier for one to “take a character nobody knows, like the Guardians [of the Galaxy], or Peacemaker,” and then do whatever they want with them, but people in every single country in the world know the story of Superman.
