Artwork and ale – BATH NEWSEUM

Bath’s historic pub, The Raven is well known for its hearty pies and craft beers but it could be on its way to establishing another more unusual credential.

It’s just launched its first art exhibition – organised by a group of local artists collectively known as the Art Circle – https://bakas.co.uk/art-circle/ .

The playful theme of the exhibition is ‘Pint Sized’ – small, but perfectly formed. All the original art is no bigger than A4, and offered for sale at £150 each.

The group was established by local artist Iasonas Bakas – alongside creative friends in the city – to create a free, inclusive art community and reduce feelings of isolation.

My husband and I went along for the opening. I have to say that first we enjoyed pies, and a delicious sticky toffee pudding, before I had a word with Mr Bakas, in less noisy surroundings, outside.
