Enfield Council has issued a call-out for local artists to come up with ideas for a £20,000 public artwork that can “inspire Edmontonians”.

This public art commission will be delivered as part of the ‘Curate Enfield’ programme which has seen many other artworks installed around the borough in recent years.

The installation in Edmonton Green, at the corner of Plevna Road and Fore Street, will be curated by two “young public art champions” for the area – students Helainah Graham-Campbell and Nia Atterley.

The call-out for ideas explains that the pair have “received specialist training and support to conceptualise a public art commission for their town centre and which develops their own creative leadership skills in the process”.

The deadline for submissions is 22nd November and the aim is to have the artwork installed by the end of March 2025.
