At left, officers of the GFWC Jefferson County Women’s Club held an arts program led by Vice President Gina Judy, art educator, artist and member of the Steubenville Art Association. During the program, officers met with Judy Bratten, director of Historic Fort Steuben, toured the art association’s “Show Your Stuff” exhibit and informed those in attendance about artistic media and technique. Among the art pieces exhibited were Judy’s portrait of Dean Martin, her still life “Lana Privitera” and SAA members’ work. Taking part in the event were, from left, Cathy Lipinski, Lori Kinney and Judy. At right, Judy received first-place for her painting entitled “Veteran’s Memorial Bridge, Steubenville, Ohio.” The award was presented by Eric Johnson, juror of awards at the Kentucky Watercolor Society’s AquaVenture Regional Exhibition. Additional top-finishers included, from left, Judy; Malinda Seig of Ekron, Ky., second-place finisher; and Marian O’Shaughnessy from Lexington, Ky. These award-winning pieces and more can be viewed by visiting the Artist’s Attic, located on the fourth floor of 401 W. Main St. Judy’s work is currently located in the 131st Women’s Art Club of Cincinnati Regional Juried Exhibition in Mariemont, Ohio and in the Spokane National Exhibit in Spokane, Wash., through May 5.
