A StateOf Trance Reveals The First Big Wave Of Artists For Its 2025 Rotterdam Show

October 26, 2024 3 Mins Read

A State of Trance (ASOT), the iconic trance event curated by Armin van Buuren, has officially revealed the first big wave of artists for its highly anticipated 2025 edition, set to take place at Ahoy, Rotterdam, on February 21 and 22, 2025. Armin van Buuren is leading the lineup, who will take the stage for an epic five-hour performance that includes a solo set and back-to-back sets with ARTBAT, Ben Hemsley, Maddix, and more to be announced.

“Saturday is what you know traditionally from A State of Trance — five rooms, different sounds, uplifting, progressive, everything,” Armin explained. “And on the Friday, it’s going to be more intimate, playing back-to-back and vibing with the other DJs that are next to me and seeing where we can go creatively. This is actually the first time I’m doing so many back-to-backs at A State of Trance event, but I share something with these artists — I produce with them, work with them closely, and consider them friends. So, to be going back-to-back with these legends is going to be pretty awesome.”

Joining Armin at ASOT 2025 are trance legends Aly & Fila, Giuseppe Ottaviani, and Ferry Corsten along with Andrew Rayel, Ben Gold, and Factor B. The lineup also features crowd favorites like Agents of Time, Ahmed Helmy, Laura van Dam, Nifra, Hollt, Ruben de Ronde, SUPERSTRINGS, XiJaro & Pitch as well as a special, first-ever live back-to-back performance by Cubicore and UUFO.

This year’s edition of ASOT promises to be a landmark event for trance lovers worldwide with the addition of even more exciting names including Adam Beyer and the dynamic duo BLR, as well as Bryan Kearney, Estiva, Farius, Giorgia Angiuli and Jochem Hamerling. With hype building and even more artists yet to be announced, fans looking to secure the tickets that went live today shouldn’t wait. Most weekend tickets are already sold out, with only the final phase weekend tickets left. Late and final phase day tickets are still available, too, but are expected to sell out fast.

When asked who he is most excited to see perform, Armin admitted that he is genuinely excited about it all and that even if he doesn’t make it to the set live, he watches all of them afterward. “But particularly this year, I’m interested in SUPERSTRINGS — they’re bringing the classic trance sound back and they’re hugely popular here in the Netherlands,” Armin explained. “Maddix of course, too. I’m really curious to see what he’s going to bring. He already killed the stage last year — so it’s going to be so monumental to be playing back-to-back with him.”

ASOT Partners with Insomniac Europe for 2025 show & beyond
After expanding into a two-day event last year and moving to Rotterdam, A State of Trance is returning once again as a weekend festival, this time in partnership with Insomniac Europe. Pasquale Rotella, the CEO of Insomniac, stopped by Armin’s studio during ADE week to talk with Armin and the fans about this exciting new venture.

“You know, we organize trance events, but there’s only one Armin — one ASOT,” Pasquale said smiling. “I’m excited, the whole team is excited, and it’s an honor. We want to be a resource to elevate it however we can.”

Featuring an electrifying lineup, multiple stages, and the fan-favorite A State of Trance Hotel, ASOT has grown into a can’t-miss, weekend-long event for the trance community that Insomniac only wants to expand further. Both Armin and Pasquale hinted during the interview that with this new partnership, ASOT is planning to even expand beyond the Netherlands and into the United States. “Although born here in the Netherlands, the fans are everywhere, all over the world” Pasquale explained. “And in the United States there needs to be an epic, perfectly produced ASOT.” Armin added, “I guess the word is out now!”
