A definitive ranking of the top 10 artists

March 10, 2025 4 Mins Read

The festival is returning for its 14th year!

Bristol’s biggest festival, Love Saves the Day, is back: And we are just as excited as you are. I just have to say that they might have managed to top the 2024 lineup (let’s not mention that Sammy Virji will not be there though).

The festival is set to return to Ashton Court on Saturday 24th, and Sunday 25th May – the bank holiday weekend.

So, with only three months until the sun will be shining down on us, here is my ranking of the top 10 artists performing at Loves Saves the Day. These are not to be missed whilst you flirt your festival romance and scream along to the songs.

10. Girls Don’t Sync

The reason why they are number 10 is because I feel like enough people like them and they have potential. However, I feel like they need to release more music. Hopefully, performing in Bristol will get them the extra clout they deserve. If you’re looking for dancehall and garage music to dance to, these are your girls.

9. Andy C

He’s good, he’s big and deserving of the ninth spot, but I would use him for a loo break. Albeit, I would run as fast as I could to and from the porta-loos, because I wouldn’t miss “Get Free” for the world. His new release, “Positions (VIP MIX)”, is also a hit too.

8. Josh Baker

I feel like he’s big. Big enough to take the eighth spot, but not big enough to be any higher. Being Bristol-based, we are much more Drum and Bass lovers, so being surrounded by Techno just might not hit the spot as much. However, you can always count on having a good time in the bakery.

7. Chris Stussy

Whenever I listen to him, I feel like I’m in one of those mazes with all those mirrors, and you just can’t get out. Take that how you will, but there’s no doubting that Stussy has a musical aura, especially with his song “Desire”, that sucks you in. But not enough, I’m afraid, to get him bumped up to the top six.

 6. Wilkinson

Regardless of your music taste, there’s no denying that their iconic song “Afterglow” will never get tired. It’s catchy and well known, however, some of his lesser-known songs are arguably a lot better, so I feel that number six is a fair place for Wilkinson on this list.

5. Nia Archives

Performing in 2023 and now a headliner in 2025, will her performance at Love Saves beat her headline shows at Manchester’s WHP? To be fair, she did do a really good job holding a large crowd up for several hours, so the potential here is heightening.

4. Skream&Benga

I just feel like they’re hard not to love, and it pains me to say that they are not in the top three. But they just (slightly) didn’t cut it. However, together they will be absolutely incredible, and I really can’t wait to see what they have put together. If they execute Love Saves well, I could really see myself eating my words about them just not cutting it.

3. 4am Kru

Just listened to all their music for the first time, and they seem like a set I will not be taking a loo break for. Now, I’ve come back to finish off this article, my Airbuds App say I have listened to their songs 50 times this past two weeks. Personally, they would be my number two. However, I just feel that they’re not as big as the top two…

 2. Shy Fx

Hit after hit, barely any misses and top versatility of music. His new releases, “Skanga Riddim” and “Risk It All”, are on repeat. Shy Fx is on my list of sets that I just cannot miss in any circumstance; just typing this is getting me excited. The success of last year’s set is ready to be topped this year.

1. PAWSA

We know how big he is from the way his name is corrected to caps locks on my phone. He just has too many hits, like ‘Too Cool to be Careless”, his new version of ‘Dirty Cash (Money Talks)’ and my personal favourite ‘On the Move’. He has no misses! In my opinion, he totally deserves my top spot.

Tickets are available to purchase here. All festival information, including safety and medical, is here.
