Calling all emerging Irish artists – NYX Hotel Dublin is looking for you

May 22, 2024 2 Mins Read

Are you a budding Irish artist interested in having your work displayed alongside fellow Irish artists Shane Sutton, Niall Staines, Shane O’Driscoll, Art Loves and Janine Jordon? NYX Hotel Dublin is looking to showcase your talent with an exciting opportunity – the inaugural ‘Art Lives’ competition.

With an impressive €1,000 cash prize and a one night stay at NYX Hotel Dublin on offer, the ‘Art Lives’ competition aims to celebrate local talent while enriching the hotel’s ambiance with fresh creativity from Irish artists.

Inspired by the vibrant energy of Dublin’s streets, creating high-end design with a Dublin edge, NYX Hotel Dublin is where style meets local spirit and bespoke art provides the backdrop to each stay.

The competition invites emerging artists from around the country to submit their original artwork for consideration. The selected piece will not only win its creator a cash prize but also the chance to see their masterpiece displayed within the stylish confines of NYX Hotel Dublin alongside a host of other Irish artists, with a one night stay at the hotel to witness first-hand the impact of their art on the hotel’s character.

A finalist shortlist will be curated by renowned interior designer Suzanne Garuda of Garuda Design, who crafted the vibrant interiors of NYX Hotel Dublin, with the final winner chosen by the hotel’s guests, ensuring that the selected artwork resonates with and enriches the experiences of those who visit NYX Hotel Dublin.

“We are thrilled to launch the ‘Art Lives’ competition and provide a platform for emerging Irish artists to showcase their creativity,” said Suzanne Cannon, Head of Marketing. “Art has always been at the heart of our hotel’s identity, and we are excited to add another layer to our collection with the inclusion of a piece by a talented emerging artist. This competition not only supports local talent but also enriches the experience for our guests, offering them a glimpse into the dynamic art scene of Dublin.”

To find out more and submit your work, register at nyx-hotels.ie until June 7.
