Look back at Mayfaire by-the-Lake in Lakeland

The annual Mayfaire by-the-Lake fine art festival, organized by the Polk Museum of Art at Florida Southern College, took place Saturday and Sunday at Lake Morton in downtown Lakeland.
Not just an art festival, Mayfaire is a juried art show with $17,000 in awards. This year’s winners, according to the Polk Museum, are:
Best of Show ($5,000)

Awards of Excellence ($2,000 each)

Awards of Distinction ($1,000 each)

- Lisa Davin of Delray Beach; Jewelry
- Sergei Orgunov of Orange Park; Painting – Oil & Acrylic
Merit Awards ($500 each)
- Christine Oakes of Comfort, Texas; Jewelry
- Dominice Gilbert of St. Petersburg; Sculpture
- Scott Causey of Sarasota; Sculpture
