Hartsville hosts inaugural Spring Wine and Art Stroll
HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Fine art and fine wines were the order of the day on Friday as Main Street Hartsville hosted the first-ever Spring Art and Wine Stroll.
After stopping by the Hartsville Museum to get a wristband and a map, patrons visited 12 different locations in downtown Hartsville. At each stop they were able to sample a pair of wines and view the artwork of local artists. At most locations, both the bottles of wine as well as the artwork were available for purchase.
The locations included The Hartsville Museum, The Edition, The Center Theatre , the John Hart Cottage, Coker University’s Cecilia Coker Bell Gallery, The Blind Big, Sam Kendall’s, Vintage Pub, Kevin Lear on Main, Journey Soap Bar, Black Creek Arts Club, and Looky Loo.
Artists with works on display were Hartsville High School IB Students, Virgina Fouche Bolton, Jill Baitzell, Coker University students, Scott Taylor, Valeria Kost, Anna Boyce, Wayne Stuckey, Adrian Rhodes, Livingston Thomas, and Stephen Sneed.

At three of the locations, local musicians performed for patrons and passersby. Musicians included Erika Perna, Jim Money, and Ken Sifford.
At the end of the evening all those who visited every station were placed in a drawing for a $50 gift card.
Sponsors for the event include the Hartsville Museum, Duke Energy, SPC Credit Union, and the Black Creek Arts Council. All proceeds from the Spring Art and Wine Stroll will contribute to programming for the Hartsville Cultural District.
