Bury St Edmunds artist Loome to launch new album, YOUPHORIA, with Hunter Club gig
A musician is set to launch his new album with a hometown show later this month.
Loome, the alt-pop project of Bury St Edmunds musician Tomas Frankson, is releasing the new album, YOUPHORIA, on all major streaming platforms on May 22 with a performance of the record at The Hunter Club, in St Andrew’s Street South, on May 30.
The multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer described the writing process as ‘a whirlwind’ after deciding to create the album from in just six weeks from his home studio.

He said: “I decided to write the album from start to finish in six weeks, on my own, in my home studio.
“This wasn’t my plan but I wanted to capture a moment in my life. One set of feelings and not months of reflection and second guessing.
“After writing 10 songs, I closed the book.”
Tom also wrote, recorded, mixed and mastered his debut album, Astrohearts, following a health scare in 2024.
The release went on to gain support from BBC Radio 1, Spotify editorial playlists and music publications including Earmilk, Notion and 1883 Magazine.
By the time his new album is released, Loome will have put out 44 self-produced tracks, amassing more than 3.5 million streams.
Tom cited Coldplay, Justin Bieber, LANY and Imagine Dragons as key influences on his sound.

He said: “At some point, people are going to have to start accepting that I’m not going away until I’m their favourite artist.”
Ahead of the launch show, Tom said extensive preparation had gone into delivering what he hopes will be ‘the best show possible’.
“I’m just excited,” he said. “It’s a unique feeling to know you’ve done everything you can to put on the best show possible. From the team, to the band, to the setlist. The preparation has been happening behind the scenes for months.
“A team of incredibly talented friends are putting a shift in to make this the best show The Hunter Club has ever seen.”
Doors open at 7pm with the performance beginning at 7.30pm.
