Locals invited to compete for chance to perform on Boardmasters Main Stage

Boardmasters Breaking gives South West talent the opportunity to shine

Boardmasters has launched an exciting new competition offering emerging artists the opportunity to perform on the Main Stage at the 2026 festival.

The initiative, called Boardmasters Breaking, is open to singers, bands, DJs, and other performers from a wide range of musical genres, regardless of age.

The winner will open the Main Stage on Sunday, 9th August, and receive additional benefits such as full weekend festival access for themselves and a companion, Artist Area access on Sunday, official professionally shot content from their performance, and dedicated features on social media platforms CLUNK and Boardmasters.

The selection process involves applications being reviewed and shortlisted by the Boardmasters team, with the winner chosen by BBC Introducing.

To be eligible, entrants must be from or based in the South West.

The deadline to apply is 10am on 25th May.
