Record Store Day unveils artists for their three exclusive live-to-vinyl releases

The result is three unrepeatable recordings; each pressed to vinyl and housed in bespoke artwork inspired by the artists’ live performances.

Speaking on their experience, Kokoroko stated: “Cutting live-to-vinyl is kind of like stamping time, you’re capturing this moment that’s not going to happen the same way again. We love vinyl, so it just felt right; doing it in the spirit of some of our favourite records. 

“We’d never played some of these songs like this before, it felt like the perfect way to capture them. We also covered Sweet and Innocent’s ‘Express Your Love’ (such a gorgeous track) and it’s the first time recording Noushy on lead vocals with us. She sounds amazing, and we really wanted to give her that shine.”

Kokoroko’s four-track EP features Higher from the EP Get The Message, highlights from their second album, and a never-before-released cover of Express Your Love. 

For their performance, West Lothian’s The Snuts took to Newcastle’s Boiler Shop for an exclusive, stripped back ‘evening with’ event to an audience of 900 adoring fans, before the live takes were mixed back at Metropolis Studios. 

Nilüfer Yanya’s 12″ includes the tracks Method Actor, Call It Love, Binding, and The Dealer with the four cherry picked tracks described as taking on “a life of their own” when played live. 

Record Store Day 2026 will take places on Saturday 18 April.
