Good news for Bad Bunny: This the 2025 Spotify list of the most streamed artists worldwide

December 4, 2025 2 Mins Read

December is upon us, which can only mean one thing, it is time for Spotify users to get their review of the year, aka Spotify Wrapped. Oh, and Christmas is coming soon too.

It is a busy time of the year in Spotify-land, as not only does each individual user get a quirky personalized overview of their listening habits over the last year, but the streaming platform has also announced which artists and songs have been the most popular worldwide in 2025, even if they have wrapped things up a little early.

Bad Bunny named most streamed artist again

The planet’s most popular artist, if Spotify streaming is anything to go by, is Bad Bunny, who has previously held that same title on three occasions in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

The Puerto Rico-born star was chosen to headline February’s Super Bowl, a decision that sparked backlash from prominent right-wing figures. President Donald Trump called the decision “ridiculous,” while White House adviser Corey Lewandowski also criticized the NFL for selecting an artist who “seems to hate America so much.”

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell defended the choice by calling Bad Bunny “one of the most prominent and popular entertainers in the world,” which Spotify data certainly backs up.

Taylor Swift close behind, The Weeknd also in the mix

As you might have guessed, Taylor Swift is not far behind the rapper at number two, with Canadian singer-songwriter The Weeknd completing the podium. Drake, at four, edges out bitter rival Kendrick Lamar, who is at six.

Spotify’s most streamed artists of 2025 globally:

1. Bad Bunny
2. Taylor Swift
3. The Weeknd
4. Drake
5. Billie Eilish
6. Kendrick Lamar
7. Bruno Mars
8. Ariana Grande
9. Arijit Singh
10. Fuerza Regida
11. Lady Gaga
12. SZA
13. Sabrina Carpenter
14. Justin Bieber
15. Travis…

Big names round out the top 50

Other notable names in the top 50 are Rihanna, who sits at 20 despite not having released an album since 2016, and 26th-placed Linkin Park, who have bounced back from the tragic death of lead singer Chester Bennington by reforming with new vocalist Emily Armstrong.
