Classic Album Review: Various Artists | Is it Rolling Bob?: A Reggae Tribute To Bob Dylan

This came out in 2004 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

The answer, my friends, isn’t the only thing blowing in the wind.

Reggae stars like Toots Hibbert, Gregory Isaacs and Michael Rose skank up Maggie’s Farm, Lay Lady Lay and other Bob Dylan classics on this odd tribute. Honestly, most are just one-spin novelties, but a remix of Zimmy’s own I And I from Infidels is a nice touch. Some editions also include a disc of freewheeling Dylan dub mixes, for those who find Bob’s own arrangements and enunciation too rigid and predictable.
