Collingswood crafts and fine art festival set for August 17 and 18
The Collingswood Crafts and Fine Art Festival will be held in downtown Collingswood on August 17 and 18.
Held annually on the third weekend in August along Haddon Avenue, the festival will feature contemporary crafts and fine art by over 180 juried artists from New Jersey and surrounding areas.
In addition to the artist booths, visitors are encouraged to stop at the many restaurants, cafes, art galleries and shops that line Haddon Avenue. The festival atmosphere will be enhanced with live music, al fresco dining options and family art activities. A special tent will showcase donated artworks by festival artists, with proceeds from a raffle benefiting the Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey.
“Artist’s Alley on Irvin” is another highlight, presenting works by emerging artists as well as craft demonstrations and free make-and-take crafts for families. The Perkins Center for the Arts Collingswood on Irvin Avenue will host booths by their instructors and regional folk artists. Perkins will also partner with Bancroft to exhibit works by adult artists with disabilities. Inside the Perkins galleries, paintings and sculptures by the talented Garrity family of Penns Grove, NJ will be on display.
The Collingswood Crafts and Fine Art Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days.
