St Mary’s Catholic School celebrates ‘one of the highest fine art A-level result outcomes in the country’
St Mary’s Catholic School student Kristin Rosario achieved one of the highest fine art A-level results in the country.
The talented teenager’s results were two A*s and a B, and she is now off to King’s College London to study economics.
The Bishop’s Stortford secondary’s interim head, Deirdre McHugh, said: “St Mary’s prides itself on combining academic excellence with excellence in pastoral support and personal development, and we are so proud with these results but also with the personal qualities of our young students who are now heading off to top universities and degree apprenticeships.
“We were thrilled to receive an email from the chief executive of the OCR (Oxford, Cambridge and RSA) exam board informing us that one of our students achieved one of the highest fine art A-level result outcomes in the country. Congratulations, Kristin!
“I am so proud of each individual, and although they leave the school today, they will always be in our hearts and part of the St Mary’s Catholic School family.
“I would like to thank wholeheartedly the teaching and associate staff who have worked tirelessly with both their classes and individual students.
“We are delighted with these outstanding destinations. The results have given the students the key to their next steps, and we celebrate them all, but strong academic outcomes are only a part of our ambitions for the students at St Mary’s Catholic School.
Other outstanding results: 3A* – Evan Johnson, studying engineering at Cambridge University; 1A*, 3A – Ezekial M’Imea, neuroscience, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL); 1A*, 2A – Joseph Hunter, degree apprenticeship; Oluwademilade Sanusi, civil engineering, Imperial College London; 3A, 1B – Irene Bresme-Dominguez, international relations at QMUL; 3A – Joseph Hesketh, history at Cambridge; Ella Lai-Kit, medicine at King’s College London; Raul Martinelli, biochemistry at Imperial.
Ms McHugh added: “There are so many other students with results that have given them a springboard for future success, and we celebrate them all.”
