Markel hires former AIG fine art specialist

Markel Corp. on Thursday named Kyle McGrath, formerly at American International Group Inc., as head of fine art, North America.

New York-based Ms. McGrath will report to Dan McCarthy, director of marine at Markel in London.

Ms. McGrath previously was vice president, head of fine art and collections for AIG’s private client group. Prior to that she held various senior roles at Axa XL, the property/casualty unit of France’s Axa SA.
