Local art exhibit promotes women’s health with free event at ADC Fine Art Gallery
CINCINNATI (WKRC) — The ADC Fine Art Gallery is hosting a unique event aimed at promoting women’s health through art and community engagement. The event, titled “Picture of Health,” offers a fun, free, and informative experience for attendees, featuring shopping, health screenings, and demonstrations.
Kasey Johansen, founder of Women100 Cincinnati, praised the gallery, saying, “The ADC Fine Art Gallery is incredible. It’s a women-owned business. It’s history and new all put together. It’s in an old popcorn factory but yet it has all this new and incredible art featuring local artists.”
Located in the West End, the gallery will host the event on August 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The day will include a fashion show, brunch, and various activities designed to educate attendees about their health.
Avery Doyle, a marketing intern with Art Design Consultants, emphasized the welcoming nature of the gallery. “It’s just a place where everyone can come and look at the art. We want to make sure that people aren’t intimidated by the art world that’s why we’re doing these events so people can see the gallery and see how inviting it can be,” Doyle said.
Johansen added, “Women have powers whether it’s a stay at home mom to that CEO – breaking down those everyday barriers is incredible. Taking the intimidation out of it and showing up for each other and complimenting each other every day rather than competing with each other.”
The event is free, but attendees are required to RSVP. Please click here to register for the event.
