Trump is furious at her artwork

SALT LAKE CITY — I just heard a recording of my radio show from 30 years ago. For a radio person, it’s kind of like looking at tattered old photographs. Oh, I sounded so young.
An old friend posted this on Facebook last week, after OJ’s death. We sent one of our reporters to Los Angeles thinking ‘maybe OJ killed his ex-wife? We better be there.’
This is from the morning before the Ford Bronco chase.
What happened that night was a slow-speed chase that ended with OJ in handcuffs and Ford ending production of the Bronco. That reporter — Irene Cornell — has long since retired, but her sister is still working. Christine Cornell is an official courtroom sketch artist. She brings her pastels into the courtrooms where cameras are banned and draws all the big trials. What a list! You’ve got Mexican drug lord, Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, Mobster John Gotti, Bill Cosby, and Jeffery Epstein.
You’ll be seeing a lot of her work this week. She’s an official courtroom sketch artist at the Trump trial. Christine has been drawing him in court for decades.
“He’s always kind of startling because of his height,” she told CNN. “Yes those eyebrows, you know… they wear him.”
A lot of Trump fans don’t like her drawings … especially the one where it looks like he’s asleep. She’s taking a lot of heat but it doesn’t bother her. She’s seen worse.
When the powerful mafia boss of New York City was on trial, he sent his goons to tell Christine “Eh, the boss doesn’t like when you draw him with a double chin. You get what I’m sayin?” In court, John Gotti glared at her and tapped his chin — she got the message.
So this week… she’ll draw what she sees… Christine Cornell’s work will get more views in a single day than a Picasso could get in a decade.
